Signs of a dictatorship

THE EDITOR: The Opposition Leader should, by now, show no surprise to the underhanded dealings and deceitful manoeuvres of PNM politicians where not improving the standard of living of all of our citizens is concerned.

Turning the Couva Children’s Hospital into a medical training centre is simply a money-making scheme in which selected trainees will, no doubt, have to pay an annual fee. The cutbacks of books, laptops and other school essentials are just more examples of how the politicians of the PNM think and act once elected. Similar to that of members of a dictatorship.

The question is: In whose pockets are all the money saved from not supplying school essentials and the fees that will be collected from medical trainees going? Influential dignitaries here must wake up to what is happening to this nation and especially to our upcoming generation.
