Pastor Marcus Phillips of the Open Bible Church encouraged relatives, relatives and wellwishers gathered at the Scarborough General Hospital, last Tuesday for an evening for prayer for the speedy recovery of Dr Kevin King to keep the faith.
“We must have one agenda here, we must all have one faith and that is for our brother Dr King’s healing and that our Mighty God is still in charge and responsible for his healing.
“There is hope in prayer and then there is hope in faith. We cannot let the distance between Dr King and us and our voices and our faith determine the outcome." Phillips said.
King left Tobago on April 8 via air ambulance to undergo a critical liver transplant operation in India. Newsday Tobago was told the surgery is scheduled for next week.
Nurse Lystra Richardson opened the service with an emotional and heartfelt rendition of "Lord I Believe In You" followed by Pastor Lennox Tobby, from the Tobago Mission of the SDA, who led the gathering in pray for a safe operation and fast recovery for Dr King.
