Name sports complex for Michelle

THE EDITOR: Well done Michelle-Lee Ahye for becoming the first woman from TT to win a gold medal in the 100m event in a Commonwealth Games.

The success of Michelle-Lee Ahye has brought tremendous recognition to our female athletes in TT, and this would further inspire them.

Michelle’s victory was richly deserved, for all the hard work that this young woman has put in over the years.

So, I am calling on the Government to honour her in a meaningful manner that would make her proud, so it would only be fitting to name the Diego Martin Sporting Complex on its completion after her so it would now be called the Michelle Lee Ahyee Sporting Complex.
