President a former pan member

THE EDITOR: The steelband fraternity extends its heartiest congratulations to new President Paula-Mae Weekes.

This distinguished past student of Bishop Anstey High School was at one time a member of the Power Stars Steel Orchestra of St James and also served as an executive member of the band.

So, it is an honour for the steelband body to be extremely proud that our first woman President was at one time involved with the national instrument.

It therefore gives the members of Pan Trinbago the pleasure to wish her a successful tenure in office and the best of health to carry out her duties.
