Gardener shot at Sangre Grande home

A 54-year-old Sangre Grande gardener remained in serious but stable condition at the Sangre Grande hospital yesterday after being shot several times at his home on Thursday night.

According to police, Glen Rudder was at his Vega De Oropouche home around 8.30 pm when someone called out to him.

Rudder walked out to the front of his home and heard several explosions. He ran into some nearby bush to hide, but

felt a burning sensation in his left thigh and buttocks.

The wounded man called out to a passerby, who contacted the Sangre Grande police.

Led by Insp Ken Lutchman and including Cpl Osuna, PC Ria Timothy and PCs Singh, Amann and Cielto, police went to the area and searched for the gunman but did not find him.
