Watch the sea waters

THE EDITOR: I do hope that our thousands of beach lovers and campers are taking serious note of the sea bulletin that is in the news regularly. It is clear that we are going to have some rough waters around TT and while many may profess they are excellent swimmers, remember there are no branches to hold on to if you are in difficulty.

We have had several unfortunate incidents over the years at this time where people have drowned; let us prevent this in 2018. Remember you are always in charge and the decisions are in your hands. I appeal to all beach-goers and campers please leave the liquor out of your system, the waters have no respect for people, a sober head is the best head. Parents, if you have children their safety should always be your No 1 priority do not let them out of your sight for one minute. We do not have any Baywatch heroes in TT stay in waters that are manageable to you.

Let us do the right thing and protect ourselves and family members as we visit those beautiful beaches around the island. Your life and others are too precious, preserve it by making the right choices as you visit the beaches this weekend.
