$$ paid but no Digicel Play

THE EDITOR: I signed up and paid for Digicel Play on January 2 because I saw Digicel installing cable and internet at my neighbour’s downstairs apartment.

Initially, I was told that I would be able to access the service and because Digicel was in the area it would only take four working days. However, I am yet to get access because Digicel keeps insisting it is not in my area.

Here’s my issue. I live in a new apartment building that was not equipped for Digicel Play. However, I observed from my upstairs balcony two technicians install cable and internet in my neighbour’s apartment downstairs. One technician brought the cable feed from Ojah Maharaj Road and another made the installment. The relocation service provided to my neighbour involved a new feed and cable, which is exactly the same materials needed for a new installation.

I have paid for the installation but I am still waiting for a call from Digicel about installation since January 2. Another neighbour who paid for the service in December is also waiting on Digicel.

Why haven’t I heard from Digicel? What makes my neighbour’s relocation to a new building different from my own? Why do the technicians keep insisting that we do not understand what relocation means? Can the Consumer Affairs Division of the Ministry of Trade and Industry help?
