Make medium bands play new music

THE EDITOR: As a steelband music lover, I must ask: Why it is that the steelbands competing in the medium band category of Panorama are not playing new music?

It is high time Pan Trinbago passes a law that all conventional steelbands play music produced for the new Carnival season.

This is necessary so that aspiring young soca singers would develop their talent and repertoire and people would not be listening to music of 15 and 20 years ago.
