Enterprise labourer shot dead

A 21-year-old Enterprise labourer was shot dead outside his Bhadase Street home shortly before 2 pm yesterday.

At about 2 pm, relatives of Jeremy Humphrey were at their home when they heard rapid gunfire and found him lying in the yard in a pool of blood.

They called Chaguanas police who went to the scene with a district medical officer. Police said they have not yet been able to establish a motive for the killing and were interviewing several people in the area.

ASP Smith and others are assisting the Homicide Bureau in the investigation into this latest killing. Humphrey’s murder has pushed the toll to 68 for the year thus far.
