Park at your own risk

Do not park your car in places other than bona-fide car parks.

If you do, you will be doing so at your own risk.

So said Sgt Christopher Swamber during the weekly police press briefing yesterday.

Swamber warned drivers against using ad-hoc car parks which are usually opened during Carnival fetes, saying these car parks are usually unprotected, and leave people at risk of theft.

He added that there is no law against people directing drivers to these car parks, and they will hold no responsibility if a car is stolen or broken into.
