NALIS hosts celebrity storytelling event

Minister in the Ministry of the Attorney General and Legal Affairs Stuart Young, Port of Spain Mayor Joel Martinez, Poet Laureate Paul Keens Douglas, JJ and Friends; founder and director of the NGC Bocas Lit Fest Marina Salandy Brown, and gospel artiste Sean Daniel were among the celebrity storytellers at the National Library and Information System Authority’s (Nalis) 11th annual Celebrity Tale-A-Thon, held at the National Library on December 2. This year’s theme was Celebrity Tale-A-Thon Christmas Story Edition.

Nalis’ Celebrity Tale-A-Thon is a storytelling event that brings together local celebrities who give of their time and talents.

The event seeks to impact learning and development through storytelling and story-reading aloud, promote the reading habit and love for literature, as well as enhance comprehension, language and vocabulary skills.
