Bryden book launch at Hilton

Bryden: The Colour of Memory is Horizon’s second book in a series of biographies featuring some of the greatest artists of TT. The book, by local author Hugh Blanc, features an in-depth look at Bryden’s life, special notes by the artist on his techniques, and over 30 high-quality plates of some of his best works.

The book launch is in collaboration with the Hilton Trinidad and Conference Centre as part of its new initiative, Art at the Hilton – A monthly celebration of Art and Culture. The launch takes place today at the Hilton Trinidad in St Ann’s from 7-8.30 pm.

In a media release Cheryl Blanc said about the book: “The second book in the Horizons Art Series focuses on the multi-faceted artistry of Harry Bryden. Most fans of Harry’s work will be familiar with his stunning watercolour paintings; but his talent extends to many other areas. The journey he embarked on over 60 years ago has led to exploration and expression of his creativity, not just in his watercolours but in design, theatre and more recently back to his original medium of oils.”

After the launch, books will be available at Horizons Art Gallery, 37 Mucurapo Road, St James.
