The students of St Mary’s College will stage their production of Christmas with the Saints 2 at the school’s Centenary Hall on December 16.
The event, organised by form six students is also open to public to enjoy a night of music and performances.
The concert is expected to highlight the school’s best talents including award-winning calypsonians Desle Julien, Duane O’Connor, Renaldo Alleyne-Noreiga and Reshawn Goodridge. The talents of past students such as vocalist Jake Salloum and instrumentalist Luke Walker will also be on the programmes.
Other entertainment will come from the school’s parang side Los Santos which placed third in the National Junior Parang competition, as well as solo performers. The concert will showcase the college’s pan side, The Symphony of Saints, which includes soloists like Dylan Yuk Low. Among the guest artistes are Los Alumnos de San Juan, The Flick, Ms Dija, Shortpants, Mastertone Salloum, 3canal and La Nueva Experiencia.
Creative director is Jake Salloum, while performing musical director duties is Alea Jaggernauth.
Showtime is 7.30 pm and tickets are available at the college’s office, and from manager Enrico Rajah at 623-8835. Traditional Christmas snacks and drinks will be on sale. Proceeds go to college projects and the music room.
