Fraud accused Vicky Boodram has appeared before Ag Chief Magistrate Maria Busby Earle-Caddle in the Port of Spain Magistrates’ Court to answer a charge of escaping lawful custody. She has been denied bail.

Also appearing before the magistrate were PCs LeVon Sylvester, Lisa Navarro and Roxanne Cudjoe. The police officers have been charged with assisting Boodram to escape. They have each been granted bail in the sum of $300,000.

Boodram, who escaped from the Women’s Prison at Golden Grove, Arouca on November 27 and was caught on Thursday last hiding in a house in Penal, had a bandage on her left wrist.
Cudjoe, in whose house Boodram was found, was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in the Siparia Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.

Boodram, Sylvester and Navarro are scheduled to appear before an Arima magistrate next week Wednesday
