One of two men who were shot at a gas station in Barataria on Saturday night has been identified as Curtis Henry.

The identity of the other man remained unknown up to late yesterday. The men are said to be in critical condition at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex.

While police are still trying to ascertain a motive behind the shooting, they are working on the theory that Henry and the other man were shot by members of a Port of Spain gang.

Police said Henry and the other man were at the gas station opposite Maritime Plaza at about 9 pm when gunshots rang out.

They fell to the ground after being shot to the head and chest. They were taken to hospital where they underwent emergency surgery.
