Rio Claro resident Cordell “Channas” Raghoo, 57, is missing and and worried relatives are calling on the public to help find him.

Raghoo, a diabetic, of Naparima/Mayaro Road, needs his medication said relatives who feared his health maybe deteriorating rapidly.

Chris Raghoo told Sunday Newsday his uncle retired to bed at about 8.30 pm on Wednesday. The next morning, relatives went to check on him, but he was nowhere to be found.

An empty pot was left on a lit stove. His cell phone was also in the house.

“He would not leave a pot on the stove and go far. He is not a crazy man or anything like that. He has never been missing before. My uncle needs his medication for diabetes. We searched everywhere, we event went to see if he was in the health centre,” Chris said.

Raghoo was last seen in the kitchen at about 2 am on Thursday, by a neighbour who happened to be awake at the time, relatives said.

“For many years he worked in Khan’s Laundry here in Rio Claro. We don’t know where to look again.

He has to get his insulin. Plenty people know Channas,” Chris added. Relatives reported the matter to the Rio Claro police.

Anyone with information about Raghoo’s whereabouts can contact the nearest police station or Rio Claro Police Station at 644-2332.
