Naps crush Pleasantville 6-1

Ronaldo McIntosh and Judah St Louis each scored twice as Naparima crushed Pleasantville 6-1, in the second game of a Coca Cola Intercol South Zone quarter-final double-header at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella yesterday.

McIntosh got his name on the scoresheet in the 31st and 37th minutes, while St Louis struck in the 81st and 84th. Rondell Payne (78th) and Rushawn Murphy (82nd) got the other strikes for Naps, while Dillon Yearwood netted the consolation item for Pleasantville.

Earlier at Marabella, St Benedict’s trounced La Romain 5-0, with two goals apiece from Darnell Charles (ninth and 13th) and Reuel Tyson (40th and 59th) and one from Keon Boney (73rd). There was another 5-0 result, as Signal Hill ousted Scarborough in a Tobago Zone quarter-final at Black Rock. Akil Frank notched a pair, while the other contributors were Akil Horford, Jamal Francis and an own goal.

And, in a Central Zone quarter-final fixture, Chaguanas North brushed aside Preysal 6-2 at the Hugo Francis Ground, Chaguanas. Zidane Martin registered a hat-trick, while there were a goal each from Darren McIntosh, Roberto Lambert and Drei Guiseppi. Intercol action will continue on Monday with the final set of quarter-final matches, in the North, South, East and Tobago Zones.
