Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister Stuart Young condemned media speculation about the state of the Minister of Public Administration whose is recovering from an unstated “medical incident” (thought to be a stroke) in early September.

At yesterday’s post-Cabinet news conference, Young said he had spoken to Cuffie and his wife Hermia Cuffie that morning.

Young said Cuffie was in “high spirits” and undergoing six hours a day of therapy for specialist rehabilitation in Washington DC to the extent of being “well ahead” of his doctors’ expectations for his recovery.
