Economic/ Business Outlook conference starts on Tuesday

The 11th Annual Tobago Economic & Business Outlook Conference begins on Tuesday from 9 am at the Magdalena Grand Beach and Golf Resort, Lowlands, with emphasis on Prescriptions for Tobago, and is being held under the theme “Embracing Innovation, Enhancing Financial Possibilities and Ensuring Economic Stability.” Speakers will include Sir Ronald Sanders, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United States and the Organisation of American States; Economist Dr Terrence Farrell and Ian Chinapoo, Executive Director of the Unit Trust Corporation (UTC).

The conference will also examine the utilisation of Information and Communications Technology in Tobago and its role in developing an intelligent island.

Among the weeks of activities will be the Financial Literacy Secretariat’s Empowerment Forum on Wednesday, from 5 pm at the Victor E Bruce, Financial Complex, Scarborough,where discussions will focus on wealth creation and financial education tips for prudent financial management given current economic realities. And a Youth Empowerment Forum on Friday will focus on Technology and Innovation, Agri-Business and the Creative Industry.
