‘Bingi’ and ‘Blow’ in court for 2014 murder

Two Mayaro men appeared before a magistrate yesterday to answer charges of a 2014 murder. According to a release issued by the police, 37-year-old Bevon Williams, aka “Bingi,” and Densil Francis, aka “Blow,” were charged with the murder of Daud Abdullah and the attempted murder of his girlfriend in 2014.

The two were also charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition after the police received instructions from the DPP on Saturday.

Abdullah, 33, was at his girlfriend’s home at La Savanne Circular in February 2014 when armed assailants entered and shot him several times. Abdullah’s girlfriend was shot but survived. Williams and Francis were arrested on Sunday at their respective homes and charged by PC Adrian Hercules of the Homicide Bureau Region 2. Both were remanded into custody.
