Man killed on Pregnancy Lane

A 32-year-old man is dead after he was shot in a track off Pregnancy Lane in Diego Martin yesterday.

The dead man has been identified as 32-year-old Allan Soleyn.

According to police, at about 12.50 pm on Sunday, gunshots were heard near a woman’s house off Pregnancy Lane, La Puerta, Diego Martin.

Residents checked and found Soleyn lying in a pool of blood near a bathroom area outside one of the houses. Police believe that he was chased through a track and shot dead at the scene.

Police officers led by Sen Sup Roberts, Supt Dominique and ASP Prescott of the Western Division Police responded, cordoned off the area and processed the scene. A District Medical Officer also visited the scene and ordered the Soleyn’s body removed to the Forensic Science Centre in St James where an autopsy is expected to be conducted. The murder toll for the year now stands at 412.

Meanwhile, the body of a man was found at the Audrey Jeffers Highway yesterday.

Details were not available up to late yesterday but police sources said the man was possibly homeless.
