How’zat allowed?

THE EDITOR: Why does the How’zat Club in St James play its music outside of the premises? The question has been asked quite often over the years but no one seems to have a clear idea why this is allowed.

Are we living in fete city? Is the carnival mentality such a disastrous disease that it is poisoning the little bit of discipline there is in this land? Does the management of that club has special privileges?

Pointless to continue asking but then again the Environmental Management Authority’s NEDP (National Environmental Policy) draft has been put forward for public scrutiny. But is this another PR ploy to suffocate residents?
