Fatima earned a hard-fought 2-1 win over Trinity East yesterday, in a mid-table clash, when rescheduled matches were held in the Premier Division of the Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL).

Fatima took the lead through a Luke Boucaud strike in the 43rd minute in the rescheduled Round Nine match. Fatima’s lead did not last long as Nickel Orr equalised in the 50th, before Zachery Welch found the winner in the 72nd. Fatima remained in sixth position and Trinity East stayed in seventh.

In Penal, Shiva Boys moved from fifth to fourth on the standings with a late winner at the Morne Diablo Recreation Ground. An 80th minute goal from Tyrell Baptiste gave Shiva Boys the narrow 1-0 win over ninth placed St Mary’s.

At the St Augustine Secondary School Ground, the home team fought from 1-0 down to defeat Trinity Moka 2-1. With the win, St Augustine moved to 10th place on the standings, while Trinity Moka remained in 14th position and will have to win their remaining two matches to have any chance of avoiding relegation. The last three teams at the end of the season will be demoted to the championship division.
