Great job by Operation Walk

THE EDITOR: My heartfelt thanks to the team of doctors, nurses, therapists, surgeons, anaesthetic personnel and all other supporting staff of Operation Walk Maryland for the great medical initiative they completed recently at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, Mount Hope.

My surgery was a complete right knee replacement. All preparations, screening, blood work, X-rays and eventual surgery were indeed done in a very efficient and professional manner.

During and after the surgery, regular visits were paid to me by doctors, surgeons, nurses and therapists. Their comforting words of advice and aftercare services contributed significantly in building my confidence, thereby quickening the healing process.

I was very impressed also by the level of support given to the team by the in-house doctors, nurses and assistants both from Adult Surgical Ward (five) and personnel from the Operating Theatre. Their overall involvement was certainly gratifying.

To Minister of Health Terrence Deyalsingh, members of his staff and all other officials responsible for arranging this initiative by Operation Walk Maryland, my gratitude for the success of this venture.
