Presentation College took care of St Augustine Secondary 3-0 yesterday to keep alive their slim hopes of clinching the Premier Division crown of the Secondary Schools Football League at Guaracara Park, Pointe-a-Pierre.

Goals from Omri Baird, Shakeem Julien and Ackeel Jacob were enough to lift Presentation to within four points of league leaders St Anthony’s College who are on 30 points alongside Naparaima College but with a better goal difference.Presentation College have two games remaining while St Anthony’s and Naparima have one game to go.

Defending champions Shiva Boys saw their faint chances of retaining their crown dashed with a resounding 4-1 defeat to Carapichaima East Secondary. Midfielder Theophilus Bourne and Kevon Williams ran rampant against Shiva Boys with a brace each to complete the rout.

In other results, San Juan North trampled Speyside High 6-1 while Signal Hill and Fatima College played to a 2-2 draw.
