Child’s play?

THE EDITOR: The Minister of Education has called on principals to enforce the ban on cell phones with cameras in all schools, in the aftermath of an incident involving two students at one of our “prestige schools.”

I am shocked that such moral decadence in our schools is now attributed to videos on a cell phone.

Even if the students involved in such “child’s play,” as it is alleged, were not caught on camera, such “child’s play” displays student behaviour that has lost all sense of shame and decency. I am even more concerned that the minister, seemingly supported by the principal of the school, considers such behaviour “a normal thing for boys that age to engage in that kind of play.”
