Supernovas concert at NAPA

First Citizens Supernovas Steel Orchestra will be presenting Pan Kingdom, Music for the World on November 4, at the National Academy for the Performing Arts, Port of Spain, from 7.30 pm.

Pan Kingdom, Music for the World, is a celebration of pan’s journey, acceptance and embrace across the globe. It reflects how far the instrument has gone and continues to travel. Supernovas will be performing music from many parts of the world where the band has touched.

Guest artistes who will be joining Supernovas are Raul Landaeta on cuatro (Venezuela); Harvey Price –vibraphone (USA); David Ashton –saxophone (USA) and Mizuki Mori –vocalist (Japan).

In addition to these international talents, collaborations will also take place with the Metamorphosis Dance Company, Roderick Chuck Gordon former calypso monarch and operatic tenor John Thomas.

Supernovas musical director Amrit Samaroo is working closely with conductor Ben Jackson to make this event a truly memorable one.
