Four suspects held in break-in at Nisha B’s store

A woman and three men are assisting police in their investigations of a break-in at the Cunupia store of Chutney Soca diva Nisha Bissambhar on Monday night.

According to police reports, the four were held by officers of the Cunupia CID at a house at Oasis Gardens in Chaguanas on Tuesday night.

Police said they also recovered several of the stolen items in a car belonging to one of the suspects. Half of the stolen items, which included designer shoes and clothing.

Bissembhar — the lead singer of the band Karma — discovered her store, the Dollhouse by Nisha B broken into Tuesday morning.

In a post on her Facebook on Tuesday night, Bissambhar, who celebrated her birthday yesterday, said she was ‘very grateful tonight to these exceptional members of our police.’

“They are still investigating and have worked very hard to ensure one of their citizens got justice. Hats off !!!! I salute your hard work !!!” she wrote as she praised the officers’ work.

Investigations are continuing.
