Pres Sando look to press home advantage atop SSFL

Presentation College San Fernando will be looking to press home their advantage atop the Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) Premier Division when Round Nine action takes place today.

Presentation San Fernando, who took over top spot on Wednesday, will entertain QRC (who are second from bottom on the 16-team standings) at Guaracara Park, Pointe-a-Pierre.

Second-placed St Anthony’s will have a tricky task on their hands when they host 2016 winners Shiva Boys at Westmoorings, while third-placed Naparima will make the inter-island trek to tackle Signal Hill.

Another consistent team this season have been St Augustine, and they will be at home to the lowly Trinity Moka.

Speyside, who are rooted at the cellar position, will meet fellow strugglers St Mary’s at the St Mary’s Ground, St Clair while another team with poor returns thus far, St Benedict’s, will host Fyzabad at Debe.

Also on today’s agenda will be Trinity East against Fatima at Trincity and Carapichaima East against San Juan – the lone unbeaten team in the Premier Division – at Carapichaima.

Matches will all kick off at 3.40 pm.
