Hilarians hold alternative fitness, health day

The Old Hilarians’ Association (OHA); the alumnae body of Bishop Anstey High School, Port of Spain, will host its first ever Alternative Fitness and Health Day on Sunday, from 9 am to 5 pm, at the school on Abercromby Street.

It is geared to attract individuals who wish to make health, wellness, food and fitness decisions for, and with their families.

Participants are expected to come from age range 12 to 60 years, from a broad spectrum of ethnic, social and economic backgrounds who have an interest in learning, experiencing and trying health-related products and services.

Some of the attractions in over-plus Interactive Zones are: seven fitness classes (self-defence, kick-boxing, yoga, Latin dance, extreme fitness circuit, zumba and sexy chair dance).

There’s also five professional healthy cooking demos in the nutrition zone; health screenings (general, vision, dental); financial fitness; complimentary spa services; a men’s zone (spa service, fitness and more).

The children and teen zone will offer (zumba and aerial gymnastics classes, art and craft classes, mini spa services, virtual reality and more).

There’s a Healthy kitchen (farmer’s market); food court as well as giveaways.
