Bollywood style

With a touch of Bollywood, bejewelled Indian dancers opened the launch of Bollywood Dreams fashion show from the House of Jaipur.

The event was held at Residence Restaurant & Bar, One Woodbrook Place, Woodbrook, on Saturday.

With Bollywood decor done by Brian MacFarlane, the night was brought alive with exquisite fashion and music for a cause.

The display began with traditional Indian wear which can be worn at weddings and other formal events.

Models showed off bright blue and pink dresses, saris and shalwars with gold and silver embroidery in some styles.

The designs also incorporated pieces covered with embroidered flowers and other details which helped to blend the Caribbean flavour with traditional Indian wear.

The collection included batik in brighter colours and designs which can easily be worn as resort or regular wear. The collection is geared to men and women of different ages and sizes.

The Bollywood theme was futher accentuated with performances by Neval Chatelal and Nishard Mayrhoo who also performed Indian songs, soca and other popular songs, bringing the party alive.
