The 2017 edition of the immensely popular The Ultimate Allrounder Cricket Challenge bowls off on October 8 at Shaw Park in Tobago from 11am-6pm. The tournament, hosted by the Single Wicket Foundation, was scheduled for June this year but heavy rainfall throughout the day washed out proceedings at the Cyd Gray Stadium in Roxborough with not a ball bowled. Organisers promised to hold the competition later this year and have kept their word. The format will remain the same with 12 explosive allrounders from the top cricket clubs in Trinidad and Tobago competing in 15 short matches for the grand prize.

Some of the allrounders who were scheduled to compete in the Challenge earlier this year included reigning champion Mark Deyal, Rayad Emrit, Imran Khan, Jahron Alfred, Marcus Daniel and Navin Stewart to name a few.

Sponsors for The Ultimate Allrounder Cricket Challenge are Newsday, bmobile, First Citizens, NLCB and the Tobago House of Assembly.
