JEREEM RICHARDS copped bronze in the men’s 200-metre final – Trinidad and Tobago’s first piece of silverware – at the 2017 IAAF World Championships in London, England yesterday.

“WE ARE after nothing less than another full three points against Police,” said Defence Force coach Marvin Gordon ahead of today’s Trinidad and Tobago Pro League clash against Police FC from 6 pm at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo.

TRINIDAD AND Tobago’s badminton athletes were a force to be reckoned with as they dominated the junior categories, booking their spots in the quarter-finals, at the 2017 Caribbean Regional Badminton Competition (CAREBACO).

CLUB SANDO coach Angus Eve strongly believe his players are better prepared to tackle Morvant Caledonia United in the reverse fixture of this season’s truncated (two rounds) 2017 Pro League calendar, when both sides face each other from 8 pm at the Hasely Crawford Stadium today.

ALRUNA who made a failed attempt at the Barbados Derby two weeks ago, has been withdrawn from the Trinidad equivalent to be run off at Santa Rosa Park, Arima, on Independence Day, August 31.

COWHEEL SOUP and oildown, calalloo and peas are just some of the meals that Yvette Wilson, Jereem Richards’ mother, is eager to cook for him when he returns home.

KEITH LOO K LOY, who served as interim president since the inception of the revamped Trinidad and Tobago Super League earlier this year, was elected as the president, for a four-year term.

THE TRINBAGO Knight Riders will aim to bounce back against the win-less Guyana Amazon Warriors in the 2017 Hero Caribbean Premier League at the Queen’s Park Oval in St Clair, from 9 pm today.
