Officials deny Club House

OFFICIALS defeated Club House by 16 runs last Thursday, in the 45-and-Over Men’s Division, as the Tyro Sports Club Day/Night Windball Cricket League continued in Santa Cruz.

Junior Walcott notched a top-score of 30 as Officials posted 86 runs for six wickets. Sheldon Thomas took two wickets for 17 runs for Club House.

In response, Club House were restricted to a score of 70/7 despite 13 from Thomas. Shazid Ali took 2/18 for Officials.

Also on Thursday, One Love whipped More Fire by three wickets.

More Fire made 21/7 in six overs with Earlan Williams taking 3/2 and, in response, One Love reached 23/3 in 2.2 overs, courtesy 16 from Timon Raphael.

In related news, the Tyro One-Day Knockout competitions will take place on three separate days, starting at 1 pm (each day) — the Men’s Division is set for May 31, the 45-and-Over Division carded for June 15 and the Women’s Division slated for June 19.

Men Division: DRIFTERS 92/4 – Victor Peters 38, Sherwin Raymond 19 not out vs OFFICIALS 80/7 – Earl Wilson 25 not out; Kent Britto 4/18. Drifters won by 12 runs.

May 7 –

Women Division: BARATARIA BALL PLAYERS 101/4 – Chantal Emmanuel 42 not out, Deserie Simon 19, Jovanca Simon 13 vs TAMANA UNITED 73/6 – Kathleen Jacob 13, Doreen Bolah 13, Lucy Bolah 12. Barataria won by 28 runs.

Women Division: COMBINED FORCES 65/6 – Glenis Miller 11 not out; Jennelle Charles 2/14 vs CRICKET LOVERS 66/3 – Melissa Sandy 14 not out, Selene O’Neil 12.

May 8 –

Men Division: POLICE 90/5 – Sterling Arjoon 26, Aninash Cassie 16, Christopher Lewis 12 vs OVERCOMERS 78/8 – Umesh Daniel 13, Gordon Quash 12. Police won by 12 runs.

May 9 –

Men Division: BLOOD BROTHERS 99/9 – Narindra Taylor 32, Ronald Biswaith 17; Randy Ramlogan 4/9 vs MORE FIRE 38 – Felix Gonzales 10; Ramchand Ramcharan 5/17.

Men Division: UNITED PROGRESSORS “B” 139/7 – Isaac Kennedy 57, Sunil Sanasie 18, Dillon Mahadeo 17, Seera Sanasie 16; Tristan Charles 4/19 vs LA FAMILIA DE CRICKET 79/6 – Devon Charles 13; Jameel Hosein 2/7. Progressors “B” won by 60 runs.

May 13 –

Men Division: DRIFTERS 74/9 – Andy Ruiz 17; Crayson Balkaran 3/10 vs FIRE SERVICE 69/9 – Crayson Balkaran 18, Duane Phillip 16. Drifters won by five runs.

45-and Over Division: REBELS defeated ORGANS by default.

May 14 –

Men Division: JAGGAN UNITED 145/4 – Hayden Chandree 27, Bertram James 23, Donny Goberdan 18 vs LAWBREAKERS 46/6 – Sunil Boochan 14; Stephen Seyjagat 3/8, Perry Jaggan 2/2. Jaggan United won by 99 runs.

45-and-Over Division: DRIFTERS 87/7 – Andy Ruiz 12, Bertram James 12; Ganase Ramarrack 2/7, Carl Solomon 2/17 vs XMEN 53/9 – Clint Williams 13; Michael Solozano 3/1, Trevor Robinson 2/8, Kent Britto 2/15. Drifters won by 34 runs.

May 15 –

Men Division: PETIT BOURG PROGRESSORS 87/7 – Kevin Permaul 20, Osmond Barrock 15 vs PLAYMAKERS 64/9 – Adrian Baboolal 10; Rocky Jacobs 2/5, Rajin Khanhai 2/7, Leon DeSilva 2/8. Petit Bourg won by 23 runs.

Men Division: HEAD GONE 73/9 – Imran Hosein 12; Stephen Rajkumar 2/9 vs PLAYMAKERS 52 – Pernell Joseph 3/4, Vijai Teemal 2/1. Head Gone won by 21 runs.
