FORMER West Indies fast bowler, Mervyn Dillon, is among a 15-man national squad which will be touring Miami from August 9-13.

The Red Force will play two matches against Jamaica in a privately organised tournament which is being held to commemorate the 50th independence anniversary of both countries.

Matches will be held at Broward County Regional Park in Miami, USA.

Dillon, who was part of this country’s team which competed in the Stanford Twenty20, has been performing well at trial matches and has been rewarded for his efforts.

Opening batsman William Perkins has regained a place in the national team while Yannick Ottley and Evin Lewis have also been rewarded for good consistent performances in the local T20 league, T20 franchise tournament and trials.

Former captain, Daren Ganga, who was omitted from last year’s Caribbean T20 squad and Champions League squad has also been selected.

The team is being coached by David Williams while Omar Khan is the manager.
