Joan Rampersad is a Senior Reporter who specializes in features, culture and entertainment, and on numerous occasions, takes her own photos. Before coming to the Newsday in 2002, she worked at the first national television station, Trinidad and Tobago Television (ttt) for 14 years, working first in programming, where she interacted with a number of local and foreign film distributors, then in the operations department, that included working in various capacities, on countless live and taped productions. She then ventured into another arm of the media and started working with print media houses for seven years as a reporter.
