A BUILDING has been dedicated to Fr Gerard Pantin, whose vision led to the establishment of Servol (Service Volunteered for All), a community-based non-governmental organisation which provides a range of services including education, work/employment skills, counselling to urban and rural communities.

Family members, close friends, the board of directors and staff of Servol were present on June 27 for the official opening and dedication of the “Fr Gerry Pantin” building at 93 Frederick Street Port-of-Spain.

At the event tribute was paid to Fr Pantin by Roger Hamel-Smith, Brian De La Rosa, Bill Agard and Diana Mahabir Wyatt for his dedication, hard work, resilience and unwavering faith that has carried him through the challenging years.

More than 96,000 children (three to five years) and 7,000 (12 to 15 years), 92,000 (16-19 years) have benefitted from the various programmes offered by Servol.

The Fr Gerry Pantin building will house a Hospitality Department with dining facilities, offices for senior staff and a conference room which will be used for staff development and training.
