FOR THE past three months, taps in Sampson Trace, Cunupia, have been dry because residents say, the main water line is clogged and rusted.

One angry resident told Hotline that he has complained to the Water and Sewerage Authority about dirty water in the taps, but he said since then the water has stopped flowing altogether and he believes the line is clogged.

He said the water main was very old and has not been attended to for years.

The angry resident said villagers wanted to dig up the main and clean it for themselves but decided against interfering with it since they said it was the responsibility of the Government and the relevant authorities.

An official at WASA’s head offices in St Joseph told Hotline the authority was looking into the complaint.
