More than 17,000 primary school students throughout the country received their Secondary Entrance Examination (SEA) results on Thursday amid much joy and celebration.

Various charitable institutions from across the country were last week presented with cheques through the Newsday Save the Street Children Fund.

Fifty years ago, Joyce Kirton, the artistic director of Les Enfants Dance Company, was a teacher at the Anstey Memorial Girls’ Primary School in San Fernando, when she realised that there was a need to direct and explore the abundant talent of the students.
