‘Calabash Alley’ is back at City Hall

In celebration of its 55th anniversary The Strolling Players, with 2,565 stage performances of 134 plays to their credit, will present what is perhaps the most popular play in the Caribbean – Calabash Alley written and directed by Freddie Kissoon at the City Hall, on from Thursday (July 12) to Saturday (July 14) at 8.30 pm.
The play has been seen on stage by over 50,000 people throughout Trinidad, Tobago, Guyana, Grenada, St Vincent, Barbados, St Lucia, Dominica, St Kitts, Canada and Curacao. Originally a radio serial, commissioned by Radio Trinidad in 1970, Calabash Alley has been heard on radio by hundreds of thousands in the Caribbean.
