OFFICIALS from Carnival band Tribe yesterday issued a public apology to its members and revellers for being banned from crossing the stage at the Queen’s Park Savannah in Port-of-Spain on Carnival Tuesday.

TALES out of Eurasia, a presentation of Skandalus led by Lindy Davidson and Nelsia Ashby, out of Roxborough, copped the Band of The Year title in Tobago with a tally of 1,351 points following the Parade of the Bands in Scarborough on Carnival Tuesday.

ALTHOUGH Sanctification by mas veteran Brian Mac Farlane was yesterday adjudged the Carnival Large Band of the Year, Trini Revellers (which placed second) ruled the scene in Carnival celebrations in Downtown Port-of-Spain.

CARNIVAL las’ lap on Tuesday was a jovial affair in San Fernando as masqueraders and revellers maximised every hour remaining in Carnival 2012 to jump, prance and go down low to their favourite soca hits.
