Water for Caparo

Wednesday, July 4 2012

A day after residents of Chickland blocked the Caparo Main Road, the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) has announced that pipeline installation has begun to improve water reliability for the community.

In a media release, WASA said the project involved the installation of a 2600, of 200, PVC pipeline along the Chickland Road, Caparo and would be completed within six weeks.

“Residents are expected to receive more consistent and reliable supply on the scheduled days when the pipeline work is completed.”

WASA said PURE contractors with the Works Ministry have been retained to carry out restoration of the roadway following completion of pipe work.

“This is expected to address concerns raised by residents regarding the proper restoration of their roads,” WASA said.
