Time for an SoE?

THE EDITOR: The politicians in the corridors of power – and that includes the Prime Minister – should spend more time trying to deal with the expanding volume of serious crimes and widespread general lawlessness now haunting this country.

The other highlighted internal political matters could be put on the back burner until some progress is made in stemming the galloping flow of daily crimes.

An expanded state of emergency with a curfew should immediately be called, with a few daylight hours each day allowed for people to stock up on foodstuff and other essentials.

Anyone caught violating the curfew should be imprisoned immediately for at least 12 months.

The country cannot function in a normal manner until these serious criminal atrocities cease to be a daily event.

Without an SoE the politicians in power will continue making the governing of this nation very difficult indeed, which will only lead to more serious crimes and more lawlessness. Mark my word.
