Great work by Arima library

THE EDITOR: I write to acknowledge the great work done by the staff at the Arima Public Library. I particularly commend and thank the library for the excellent initiative of exam support for candidates writing the January CSEC mathematics examinations.

I thank librarian Gillian Ballah for the programme and Arnold Marshall who facilitated the study sessions in a simple, informative and practical way. The nine-day session, which was free CSEC candidates, covered all topics of the math syllabus and practice of past papers. I certainly felt more confident going into the math exam on January 4.

I believe libraries are unsung heroes in our communities. They do a lot for literacy and community outreach. I encourage all to visit libraries more often.

I understand the Arima Public Library also has plans to start a science, technology, engineering, art and math club and a young adult book club soon. I wish libraries the best in all their endeavours.
