Worthy SEA function

THE EDITOR: It was very good for the Ministry of Education to hold a ceremony to recognise the top 200 SEA students and their schools.

I attended the function on Saturday at NAPA, South Campus, in San Fernando and I must give credit to the two ministers and the ministry staff for a well planned and executed event.

I spoke with many parents after the ceremony and they were all satisfied the ministry did a very good job to host the 200 students, their parents, principals and other invitees.

The effort to publicly recognise principals and teachers is commendable and they all left feeling their profession is still a worthwhile one.

I look forward to similar events from the ministry which will bring parents and the schools together.
