Charles: Sunwing to sign for flight certification

Chief Secretary Kelvin Charles said arrangements for Sunwing Airlines to begin flights between Toronto, Canada and Tobago, was at the final stage.

“All things being equal, they are at the final stage… once Sunwing signs the relevant documentation, all that would be left is for the certificate to be issued. I know, up to today…the Civil Aviation Authority would have done what they had to do and would have forwarded the documentation to Sunwing for their signature,” Charles told Newsday Tobago on Tuesday.

Charles has said that that discussions between the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) and Sunwing Airlines’ representatives at the World Travel Market 2018 in London resulted in this arrangement.

Sunwing’s inaugural flight for winter services has been set for December 20 with the Tobago Tourism Agency (TTAL) hosting a media reception at the ANR Robinson International airport in Crown Point.
