Kasha Isaac, of John Roberts Memorial School of SDA, is winner of the Tobago Library Services/Republic Bank Ltd’s 3rd Annual Storytelling Competition.

Isaac, telling the story of David and Goliath, beat out seven other competitors to take the top prize at the finals of the competition held at the Anne Mitchell Gift Auditorium of the Scarborough Library last Thursday.

The schools making it to the finals were the John Roberts Memorial School of SDA, Mt St George Methodist Primary, Patience Hill Govt Primary, L'Anse Fourmi Methodist Primary and Ebenezer Methodist Primary, with finalists getting a chance to show off their oratory skills, enacting their versions of chosen stories, accompanied by props and dramatics to impress the judges.

In second place was Ketarah Meltz of L'Anse Fourmi Methodist Primary School with her dramatisation of Why Mosquitoes Buzz in People's Ears, while Tyrese Franklyn, also of John Roberts Memorial School of SDA with his performance of Brer Rabbit and the Briar Patch.
