Thanks Carmona

THE EDITOR: On behalf of myself and my family I want to thank former President Mr Anthony Thomas Aquinas Carmona ORTT for the tremendous job that he did for the country and the people of TT during his five years as head of State.

The former high court judge served the people of this country very well. I remember February 18, 2013 when he was sworn in as the fifth president of this country TT. I personally want to thank him for the good work that he has done.

During his five years in office, whenever he came down to his parents’ house I was always on hand to meet him. I pay the fullest respect to him and his family. He is a very good gentleman and a down-to-earth person. He is also loved by the people of Fyzabad.

I also want to thank the incoming president, her Excellency and former high court judge Ms Paula-Mae Weekes as our country’s first female president. Madam President, I do hope that as head of State you will do a firm job, just as former President Carmona did in office. Good luck to you as the Sixth President of TT.
