Sprangalang’s funeral on Saturday

Dennis “Sprangalang” Hall’s funeral will be held on October 10 at Belgroves, Coffee Street, San Fernando at 2 pm.

The comedian, historian, actor and talk show host died on October 2 at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, Mt Hope. He had just turned 71.

Sprangalang had been hospitalised with several medical conditions. In June last year he was also hospitalised after suffering seizures.

His wife Natasha “Sexy Suzie” Nurse said there will be a viewing of his body on Friday.

The Trinbago Unified Calypsonians’ Organisation (TUCO) said on social media there would be a virtual Bongo Night Fuh Sprang on Tuesday from 8 pm-12 am. It said the event would feature live performances, tributes, career highlights and more. It was scheuled to be streamed on Gayelle TV, Facebook and Wack 90.1 FM.

Sprangalang's older brother, theatre director and playwright Tony Hall, died on April 27.
