Better bus service, please

THE EDITOR: The Public Transport Service Corporation (PTSC) under former minister of transport Jack Warner was not only efficient but also provided excellent bus service to the public. Additionally, the La Horquetta to Port of Spain route benefitted from four buses in the morning (5.30, 6, 6.30, and 7) and four in the evening (4.15, 5.15, 6, and 6.30).

Currently the service has dwindled to maybe two buses on mornings — 6 and 6.30 — and on afternoon sometimes a 4.15 or 6.30 bus. Why is there such disparities in the service?

The buses are used regularly by both the working people and students. Can’t PTSC regularise the service? Do we need another Jack Warner?

All assistance in meeting the needs of the travelling public in La Horquetta is appreciated.
